Just got back from an excellent experience at the Starting Strength squat camp coached by Niki Sims in Franklin, TN today. I was expecting a much higher teacher student ratio, where we might be lucky if the coach observed one out of every 5 reps or so. Instead, there was just five really nice people and me, so Niki was able to study every single rep that we did (for 8 sets of 5 reps) and give great feedback.

Thanks to reading the Starting Strength books, my squats weren't quite as off base as I'd feared although there is plenty of room for improvement.

After a couple of years of being told by gym bros that I'm leaning too far forward in my squats, it was quite a change to hear that I actually err on the side of being too vertical.

Going to a Starting Strength camp is definitely money well spent.
