    Mark:

It is an honor to write to you. I have your new book and I am still studying the squat chapter. I have been doing a lot wrong so I have habits to undo and new things to learn.

I scanned ahead in the book, but I do not know if you write about incorporating cardio conditioning for more wind and endurance in your book.

I train in MMA and BJJ and I get winded after rolling for only a short time.

Thanks, and sorry if this has already been covered.

It may have touched on at one point, but what the hell. Long, slow, distance is not a useful way to condition for a sport that does not itself involve the low intensity provided by long slow distance. LSD is easy, BJJ is not. So to condition for BJJ and MMA the best system is the metabolic conditioning provided by CrossFit.

Mark, thanks for the reply. How often should I work in the metabolic conditioning with the strength workouts from your book.

Start with one per week, and add one every other week until it starts to affect your strength work, then pull back one.
