So, I have been a program hopping junkie all for the 3 years I have been lifting, searching for what type of training that I like most and it wasn't until I did 5/3/1 most recent that I decided strength training and progressing in the big major lifts is what I love. So, where does a person like me really start with a legitimate program now to actually make progress and start doing the right things? I have been reading Starting Strength and just received Practical Programming in the mail yesterday. My training maxes from my last 5/3/1 cycles were Squat: 280, Bench: 210, Press: 145, Deadlift: 385. I am 26 years old 6' 1" and 227 pounds right now and have been training 4 days a week. Any help in getting me on the right path from the mess I have created is greatly appreciated! Thank You.

You might get a short LP of like 4-8 weeks on the SS program, and then I'd probably do a 4-day Texas Method as outlined in PPST3. Simplest transition. Will keep you busy for a while
