852 Method Question
Andy,
First off, thanks for the wonderful Garage Gym Warrior and KSC Powerbuilding books. They have been some of the best programming books I have read and used. The question I have is about extra squat and bench days using the 852 method. I love cycling through the rep ranges but noticed that when I was squatting and benching two days a week rather than one I was experiencing better results. Part of that could be the natural slow down of strength accumulation, but I was curious what your thoughts were on making a secondary squat or bench day using the 852 method. Something like this:
Day 1:
Squat: 3x8
Day 2:
Light squat: 2x8 knocking off 5-10% from Day 1s weight

Yeah, that is fine. On your 2s week just repeat some light 5s again.
