    Hi Andy,

I've been working the "S/M after 40" program for just over a year and I love it. Lately, life has been getting busier and I've had to pare down some of my work weeks to two or three days instead of four. Not a major hindrance so far, but I'm wondering if maybe a 3-day/week program may work better for me.

Can you advise the major differences between GGW and SM40? When would you recommend one over the other and why?

    Currently, I'm 52; about 250 (~30%BF); 6ft; and lifts are as follows: OP = 152x5; 160x3; 170x1 SQ = 300x5; 315x3; 330x1 BP = 205x5; 215x3; 225x1 DL = 350x5; 380x3; 410x1

    Thank you for your time!

It really just boils down to your preference on working full body vs upper / lower split.

You can always try taking that 4 day upper-lower split and spreading it out over a 3-day week.

    Mon - Upper
    Weds - Lower
    Fri - Upper
    Mon - Lower
    Weds - Upper
    Fri - Lower

    That works really good

That's fine, man. That's why there is a forum. Glad to help.
