Andy, I hope you're safe and dry out there!

I filmed my squat form for the first time and thought it looked like dogshit. I have a request for a form check in the technique forum. In the meantime I deloaded by about 25% to work on form; however, I don't want to become too deconditioned so I'm wondering what you all think about maintaining the volume as I work back up to the working weight? I was up to 3x5@295 and deloaded on my last session to 3x7@225 (with some extra warm-up for volume) and would expect to do 235 for my next session. (Actually, I overdid it a little on my planned volume @225). Here's my workout scheme below. What do you think? Is this stupid?

    100 1x5
    145 1x5
    205 1x3
    250 1x3 (meant to do 1x2)
    295 3x5 (dogshit form)

    75 1x5
    110 1x5
    160 1x5 (an extra 2 warm-up reps)
    190 1x2
    225 3x7 (much better form, I think)

    (planned)
    80 1x5
    115 1x5
    165 1x5
    200 1x2
    235 2x7
    235 1x6

Yes, but I might be getting close to the end. I haven't had a stall in the squat, but my form check at 295 was sobering. I've been doing SS linearly since the beginning of August, but have been exercising for a long time and trained *gulp* 5/3/1 for about 4 months before starting SS.

    Other potentially helpful info:
    -I'm 35, male
-went from 185 to 255 on the (high bar) squat using 5/3/1
-I'm gaining weight and feeling good

I personally would not increase reps per set if you are working out a form issue. The more reps you do in a set, the more likely your form is to breakdown and further ingrain bad habits.

My squat form was changed a fair bit and the only change to my programming (SSNLP) was replacing the middle squat day with an 80% tempo squat day. This modification occurred around 275 pounds
