    Decided to start putting my progress up here as a way to keep me, somewhat, accountable.

    History: Futzed around with barbells in the gym, doing a half-assed version of SS for about a year. Settled for doubles and triples. Saw some gains. Then got some scary blood-lipid numbers this summer and started a radical diet and dropped about 20 pounds. This, obviously, ate into my training. Now that I've seemed to have gotten my numbers under control I've been back at it for a few weeks, and trying to do The Program properly.

    I've seen regular increases in squat and deadlift. Press is still inching up. Bench is my weight-lifting albatross. I bought some fractional plates, but still seem to stall out on the final rep or two on the last set.

    Age: 37
    BW: ~170
    Height: 6'0"

    1RM
    Squat: 250
    Bench: 195
    Press: 135
    Deadlift: 350


    Wednesday 10.25.17

    At the gym I go to, the one rack they own has become increasingly popular so I had to delay squats until the end of my workout, so it suffered.

    Bench:
    167.5x5x3 (though for my final set, a spotter slightly aided me on the final two reps)
    DL:
    300x5x1 (pretty smooth, though I feel I didn't quite get lock-out on a couple)
    Squat: (garbage)
    205x5x1
    220x2x1

    Saturday 10.28.17

    A garbage day. Went to the gym feeling worn out. Numbers prove it.

    Squat: 220x5x3 (felt pretty good about this one)
    Press: 117.5x5x2; 117.5x3x1 (couldn't eke out the last 2, which bummed me)
    DL: 305x3x1; 310x1x1 (again, just demoralizing)

    Anyway, onward...

    Monday 10.30.17

    Squat: 225x5x3 (PR)
    BP: 167.5x5x3 (went smoothly)
    DL: 305x1; 135x5x1; 225x5x1; 275x5x1 (not sure what happened here but it felt very heavy, and 300x5 last week felt pretty easy)

    you deserve credit for going when you did't feel like it. That's where it's really easy to get off track.

    BP: 170x5x2; 170x4x1 (I missed the last dang rep of the third set); 170x2x1

    Monday 11.13.17

    I went on a backpacking trip this weekend, which drained my energy levels a bit, so this was a weird workout.

    Squat: 135x5, 205x5, 215x3, 225x3
    BP: 170x3x5 (switching to 3 for 5 to see if I can keep squeezing the LP)
    DL: 225x5, 320x1, 305x1

    BW: 167 (I've actually lost a few pounds, which, I realize, means I'm NDTFP. But there you go...)

    Press: 120x3x5
    DL: 320x2, 335x1 (double body weight!)

    Rack was occupied and I had to boogie elsewhere, so no squats today.
