I've never lifted weights in my life. I decided to learn how and so I discovered Starting Strength a little while back. While, I am pretty active, I am overweight and weak! I'm 5'11, 210 lbs, 37 years old, married with 3 kids.
Started training with Starting Strength Coach Dan Raimondi (Fargo) 3 weeks ago. He's a great coach and an awesome guy. I consider myself fortunate to live just 5 minutes from the only SSC within the nearest 5 states!

After struggling a bit with a 1 rep warm up at 225, the 250 lb deadlift workset flew off the floor. My coach was puzzled by that one. Fun way to finish the workout!

Barely completed the final rep of the press. SSC Coach wants to lower jumps to 2.5 lbs.
Began learning barbell rows today. Feels very awkward for me. Completed 135 x 6 x 2.
