Is it weird to feel flat bench press in bicep? I feel like I did a bunch of curls every time I do a heavy 5 rep set.

How many heavy plates are you lifting off the floor to load the bar? If you're starting with weak(ish) biceps, maybe the way you're loading plates is enough of a "curl" to be hitting the biceps? -Andrew
