    Hey

I have some experience in the gym, but it hasn't been too productive. About 4 weeks ago I started the SS:BBT, I then taped my squats and showed them to Mark Rippetoe in his forumn here. It's best said he wasn't impressed, so I reset all lifts meaning I went from 3 plates partial squat back down to a plate to start going below parrallel and using my hips.:

I weigh 100Kg and my current goals are:
    Squat 1.5 x bodyweight
    Bench 1x bodyweight
    Overhead press 0.75 x bodyweight
    Deadlift 2x bodyweight
    Powerclean correctly

    6/5/08 stats
    Squat 100Kg x5 x3
    Overhead Press 50Kg x5 x3
    Powerclean 50Kg x5 x3

    Goal for 8/05/08
    Squat 102.5Kg x5 z3
    bench Press 82.5Kg x5 x3
    Deadlift 127.5Kg x 5

Welcome to the program. Good luck with your goals. I too had to swallow my pride, and drop all the weight I thought I could do when I started 3 months ago. I went all the way back to an empty bar. What is amazing is how quickly the weight adds up even though you only add 5-10 pounds (kg?) each workout.

Within 3 to 5 years, we'll see who's not impressed by your lifts...

Talking Westside is the way to go!!

Try doing a westside program. It's just my suggestion...

The thing about the westsiders is that they rarely hit a plateau. They just keep on progressing...

Well last night was a nightmare. I lost my wallet, so there was a lot of running around. Fortunately it was handed into the police with all money and cards still there. A big thank you to the person who did this.
Because of last night I went to the gym at 6:30 this morning and did the following:

    9/05/08
    Squat:102.5Kg x5,4,5
    Bench Press: 82.5Kg x5x3
    Deadlift: 127.5Kg x5

as well as put a leaky protein drink in my bag.

    Goal for 11/05/08
    Squat: 105 x 5 x 3
    Overhead Press: 52.5 x5 x3
    PowerClean 60 x5 x3

I'm planning on staying on the Rippetoe Beginner thing until I can squat 1.5x my bodyweight, then I think I'll do the Bill Starr method with 1 heavy day, 1 light and fast day and 1 medium day. saying this it would mean my light day would be 120Kg....currently I'm maxing out on 102.5Kg.
