    Default Starting Strength Log

    Hi, Been doing Starting strength for three and a half. I used to lift seriously back in my high school and a couple of years after. I lost my work out partner, and sort of just gave up. Anyways, started back after 10 plus years at 31 years old. I'm 6'4 and have gotten quite overweight at 396.

    My first work out was

    Squat-185

    Bench-135

    Press-95

    Deadlift-195



    As of Friday, i am up to

    Squat-255

    Bench-195

    Press-135

    Deadlift-295

    Deadlift- 305 1x5


    Wed 10-24-18

    Squat- 275 3x5

    Press- 145 3x5

    Deadlift 315 1x5


    Sat 10-27-18

    Squat 285 3x5

    Bench 205 3x5

    Deadlift 325 1x5


    Mon 10-29-18

    Squat-295 3x5

    Press- 155 3x5

    Deadlift 345 1x5( this was a math mix up, only meant to do 335)

    Lol Just simply to get stronger right now, and get around 275.

    Bench- 210 3x5

    Deadlift- 355 (grip broke on the last rep, but did another rep)


    Fri 11-2-18

    Squat-315 3x5

    Press- 160 (failure on the third set rep 3)

    Deadlift- 355 (failure on rep 5)


    Mon 11-5-18

    Squat-325 3x5

    Bench- 215 3x5

    Deadlift- 325 1x5


    Wed 11-7-18

    Squat- 335 3x5

    Press- 140 3x5

    Power Clings- 95 3x5

    You mentioned some trouble with your grip. What grip do you use?
