Default Crushing sensation in lower back

    Hi

I’ve recently being doing the SS training.
    I started out at

    Squat 176lb
    Press 77lb
    Bench 132lb
    Deadlift 198 lb

After 3 weeks I got my lifts up to

    Squat 253 lb
    Press 104.5 lb
    Bench 165 lb
    Deadlift 341 lb

All beltless bar the last work set deadlift workout.

So anyway I was in the gym doing my squats as usual but trying out different cues that I read.
One was to push your ass back as your lowering in the squat. (Not sure if this was the culprit)
During this anyway I was coming out of the bottom with about 220lb on the bar when I felt a crushing , compression sensation on my lower spine.
Could feel it all through my body.
Afterwards I was in bits, couldn’t continue, couldn’t get changed out of my gym gear, couldn’t put my socks on the following morning etc

But anyway after 2 or so days I started doing air squats etc and eventually I was getting back to normal.
I have recently started back in the gym after a month off to continue the programme but I’m terrified of that happening again.

Would you know what caused it and if so what not to do?

Any info at all is greatly appreciated

    without videos we're all guessing,
    and here is mine,
you overdid one or some of "trying out different cues that I read",
and that may not have been needed in your case at all.
either post the injury squat vid, or a current working set, and let us see what you're doing there.
    also,
    age, weight, and height?

    Thanks for the reply.

I never recorded the workout in which I got injured but I’ll record me squatting my next work set and send it on. See what you think.

Lean over. Ass back not forward at the bottom. Drive hips up. Don't lift chest. Look at the ground. Read the form check video sticky.

    starting strength coach development program
From now on, that gets the user removed from the board. Tired of this, yelled about it before, he's gone.
