    Default Editing Weights for Warm up sets

    Hello there,

    I recently started with Starting Strength program and the app. I was wondering if it is possible to edit the warm up weights. For example, for deadlifts, I would like to start with 65 lbs rather than empty bar.

    Thanks,
    Hitesh

    Hi Hitesh, at the moment its not possible. But in the upcoming version there is a setting allowing you to change the start weight. Should be out next week.

    Is there a place where the warmup formula is shown? I'm just curious how it's broken down.

    Thanks!

    its not shown anywhere in the app. its the same as what's used in the warmup app. The basic formula behind it is:

    W = Work set weight
    B = Bar weight
    N = Number of warmup sets
    J = Weight jump between sets

    Equation:

    (W - B) / N = J

    So if my work weight is 200 for the day:

    (200-45) / 5 = 31 lbs

    My rep scheme would be:

    Weight Sets Reps
    45 2 5
    75 1 5
    105 1 5
    135 1 4
    165 1 3

    Hi. Is this the same for all exercises? Or is something different between them?

    I don't have the app, but when I used to do my warm up sets, I had a calculator in a spreadsheet that used percentages as part of it's formula, which I modified to round up to the nearest 5.
