I saw this new book is going to be released the end of March.

The Squat Bible: The Ultimate Guide to Mastering the Squat and Finding Your True Strength

Did a search on starting strength could find nothing about the author "DR. AARON HORSCHIG"

He's got a lot of material on his site "Squat University."

CAN THE KNEES GO OVER THE TOES? (DEBUNKING SQUAT MYTHS)

He also has a fair amount of podcast/videos.
Reliable guy? Those more adapt then I, how does his system stack up against SS Squats?

    He's an FMS guy.

Oh, lord, and he cites Mike Boyle (whose fitness books rank among the worst I've ever read) in one of his articles.

    Thanks John!
I really did not know what an FMS guy was so I just checked the site. I'm really not surprised since he's a trained physical therapist. I'd assume that they prefer "process oriented' stuff.
But the bottom line is you think the book will be shit.

I don't know. But - in my mind - association with the FMS brand is bad. Lots of strong claims in that brand's content justified by hand-wavy-pseudo-science.

I could not agree with you more on Boyle's books. I try to be open minded, but his books are truly among the worst "S&C" related content I have ever read.

Save your money and watch Chris Duffin. You will not find a better Squat Tutorial than this.

Anyone who claims you can improve ankle mobility is a nutjob. I've had surgery to improve ankle mobility and not even that worked.

I don't get it. How is ankle mobility ever a limiting factor in squatting? My left ankle has the worst mobility because of a motorcycle accident (an old lady smashed the left side of me and my bike, pinning her my foot and ankle between her car bumper and my bike's heel guard) and I can still squat. Do you need more ankle mobility to front squat, maybe?

Haven't you yet learned that you just need to ignore Carni?
