Been doing SS for a while now, and may be approaching the end of my linear progression, so I figured I'd start a log.

    Me:
    17 years old
    5'6"
Started at 116lbs, gained until 137, stopped lifting, lost weight, regained to 152, stopped lifting, lost weight, and then restarted at 146lbs on 1/1/10, and currently weigh 168. Would like to weigh 185.

    On January 1, 2010
    BW:146
    S: 225
    B:135
    P:95
    D:275
    C:135

    Last Workout:

    Friday, February 19, 2010
    BW:166.5

Squat: 327.5x5x3 (first time with a belt)

    Bench: 197.5x5x3

    Power Clean: 197.5x5x3

Normal workout, cleans are getting hard. Using a belt was weird, need to get used to it.

    Food:
I don't keep exact track of my food, but I will put down what I eat when I can remember all of it.

    1.25 gallon milk
    4eggs, bacon, toast, grits
    2 grilled cheese
    large cheese pizza
    bowl of ice cream

    That's damn good progress.

But what's with all the stopping, losing/gaining weight thing? Is that deliberate or just life?

Its just me not doing anything consistently and being a pussy, for the most part. I'm not gonna let it happen again, this is to much work to just let waste away.

    Squat: 330x5x3

    Press: 137.5x5x3

    Deadlift: 370x5

Squats were incredibly hard, and I've got 2 issues. The first is its damn near impossible to keep my elbows up so my wrists and shoulders are taking a beating. They were numb after each set. Second, I don't know what caused it, but I've got a good bit of pain around my hips, mainly around the hip flexors. It sucks, but I just trained through it. Presses and deadlifts were good, done with 2.5lb jumps on press I think, but we'll see how it goes.

    Squat: 330x5x3

    Bench Press: 200x5x3

    Power Clean: 200x3x5

Have had a cold since Monday so was a little down.Squats were way better this time, it was a good move to stay at 330 one time, will go up next time. Bench was hard because my shoulder was hurting, but power cleans were strong and fast.

Heavy squats 3x a week are killing me, and are taking away from the progress of my other lifts. I feel like squats are right on the edge of intermediate programming, but everything else still has at least a couple weeks. So, I'm thinking about changing my programming around a little bit; putting a light squat on Wednesdays and only deadlifting and power cleaning once a week each.

Maybe something like this, very similar to Texas Method:

    Monday:
    Squats 3x5
    Bench/Press 3x5
    Power Cleans 5x3

    Wednesday:
    Front/Box/Light Squats 3x5/3x3
    Bench/Press 3x5
    Chinups 3sets
    *Back Extensions 3x10*
    *abs 2x10*

    Friday:
    Squats 3x5
    Bench/Press 3x5
    Deadlift 1x5

The back extensions and ab work will depend on how I feel. What type of squats would be best for Wednesdays?

    Any comments/suggestions?

Terrible workout. Didnt eat anything all weekend, was tired as hell, and everything was sore. Try again next workout.
