Felt heavy today and it was. Couldn't seem to complete my sets properly.

    PC: major disaster and injury.

Somehow ended up pinning a nerve and/or blood vessel in my neck during warmup. Got dizzy and actually blacked out w/ rather unfortunate results. Got a huge gash on my chin which required stitches and chipped a tooth.
Ouch. Hope you're ok - or at least no permanent damage beyond the tooth..

You're a strong fucker. The clean thing actually is quite common (as you've probably read in SS). I've heard about from oly-guys as well, though I've never experienced nor seen one.

Now you'll get some war-scars from the gym

Thanks, guys. Tooth does seem to be only thing likely to be permanent. War scars indeed.

Looks like I'll be sitting next week out to recuperate.

    Good you're ok.

Hope you didn't break any equipment in the gym...

    Workout A

Taking it easy post-injury and after layoff for a week and half. Extra focus on technique.

    Squat: 345# 3x5

Never in doubt. These went up with good speed.

    Press: 125# 3x5

Lost lots of pressing strength. Last reps actually felt kinda tough.

    DL: 300# 1x5

    Uneventful

Good to have you back in the game, dude.

Smart to pick sensible weights for your comeback.

I like this: "Taking it easy (...) squat: 3x5x345". If that's taking it easy, I dont know what you'd call what I am doing...

Good job getting back into it.

@ slowjoe, good to be back.

@ DV, your benching and pressing numbers leave mine in the dust. You'll rocket your squat numbers up in no time.

A big squat is more impressive in my book. My 5RM PR on the squat is 340, so you going back "easy" for 3x5x345 is motivational. My press luckily has always been somewhat decent.
