Was perusing the wiki and the forums for quite a few months, finally got and read the book and got motivated. Been doing SS for just over a week now.
38, 6'1", currently 270#. Weight has long been a problem (bad eating, bad, bad) maxed out at 292#, recent min (last fall) was #238.
I remember most of the lifts from my football years, and with Rip's details in the book think I have my form pretty close. Would like to find a coach to check them with at some point.

Went up 10# on the deadlift, rather than the usual 5#, because I could not find any 2.5# plates. Had no problem with it, still thinking I started out way too light.
Was feeling pretty beat up the last half of last week, so took two rest days (Saturday and Sunday) instead of one. Definitely feeling better, we'll see how the lifts go later today.

The two rest days definitely helped, all the lifts felt really good. Still challenged by the shoulder presses, but got through it. Corrected most the problems with form, but still arching a bit too much as I can feel an occasional pinch mid-back.
