    Squat: 141kg (310lbs, 3x5)
    OHP: 50kg (110lbs, 3x5)
    Deadlift: 159kg (350lbs, 1x5)
    Chins: 3-3-3-3-2-1 (=)

    Squats OK, I tried to follow MikeC1's advice in the form check I posted in the technique forum, the bar was much more stable, and I had no elbow pain at all. Don't know if I managed to find the correct bar position or if it's due to the advil I took before training, but overall it's good news. OHP was awkward for me trying to keep my elbows in front of the bar at the bottom. I'll get used to it. Deadlifts were so easy I was pretty sure I made a mistake with my plates, but no, it was really 159kg. Quite happy with that.

    I was kind of optimistic in my last post, as it didn't turn out as I was hoping.

    Both elbows were hurting like hell saturday and sunday, waking me up in the middle of the night... Today's session turned out pretty bad, elbows were in fire in the first squat set, reracked after 2 reps. Skipped weighted dips and PCs that were planned, did my chins, and called it a fucking day.

    I'm so pissed off.

    Now what?
    - orgy of ipuprofen and no squat during a week?
    - switch to high bar?
    - both?

    I'm clueless...

    So a week without squatting:

    Wed, Aug 17, 2011 - SS #37

    Power clean: 85kg (187lbs, 1 rep)
    Power snatch: 51kg (112lbs, 3 sets of 3)
    Weighted dips: 15kg (33lbs, 3 sets of 5)
    Supersetted with chins: 4-4-6

    No squat this week. Tried power clean just to see if I can rack properly, and it's not ok. Couldn't resist trying 85kg, which was very ugly. Worked on power snatch technique.

    Fri, Aug 19, 2011 - SS #38

    Deadlift: 163kg (359lbs, 1 set of 5)
    Press: 51kg (112lbs, 5-5-4) PR
    Supersetted with chins: 4-4-4
    Chins: 3-3-3-3-2-1 (+0)

    Deadlift was very easy (this was my previous PR, but it felt much less heavy), OH press very hard. Didn't get the last rep. Still happy because it was a short term goal (my bar weighs 11kg, so 51kg is two plates for me). Can't keep my elbows in front of the bar, gonna lower the weight to 45kg and work on it. Lots of chins (for me, though), according to Rip, they help with the elbows.

    Gonna switch to high bar squat this week for as long as needed.

    HB Squat: 111kg (244lbs, 3 sets of 5)
    Weighted dips: 17kg (37lbs, 3 sets of 5), supersetted with chins (4-4-4)
    Power snatch: 55kg (121lbs, 3 sets of 3)
    Chins: 3-3-3-3-2-2 (+1)

    First time doing HB squats. Tried upping the weight until the bar slowed down, it happened at 111kg. Don't know if my form is right, I'll try to post a form check. Dips and snatch OK, although I ripped a callus open on my right hand during the first snatch set: this is what you get when you snatch on a non-spinning bar!

    HB Squat: 115kg (253lbs, 3 sets of 5)
    Press: 45kg (99lbs, 3 sets of 5), supersetted with chins: 5-5-5
    Superset:
    Pendlay rows 51kg: 10-10-10
    Good mornings 51kg: 10-10-10

    First try with rows and GMs. Lower back is sore today.
