    Hello! I began the Starting Strength program on January 9th 2012 and I'll be posting my progress here.

    Stats for Jan 9th:
    Age: 25
    Height: 175 cm
    Weight: 65 kg
    Bf: ?

    P.S. the title of the thread was inspired by a strongman competition held between 1988 and 1991 (I think). Videos are available on youtube.

    - squats:
    5 x 15 kg
    5 x 17 kg
    5 x 20 kg

    - bench press:
    5 x 20 kg
    5 x 25 kg

    - deadlift:
    5 x 30 kg

    My first day wasn't quite stellar but I was very excited about training in a real gym. Btw. I will be posting my lifts in kilos, thats what we use over here. If you want pounds multiply by 2.2.

    After being sore every day for three weeks I decided to go lighter on squats and skip pull-ups today.

    - squats:

    5 x 25 kg
    3 x 5 x 30 kg

    - overhead press:
    5 x 20 kg
    5 x 25 kg
    3 x 5 x 30 kg

    Was feeling great today.

    - squats:
    8 x 20 kg
    5 x 30 kg
    5 x 35 kg
    3 x 5 x 45 kg

    - bench press:
    5 x 20 kg
    5 x 25 kg
    5 x 30 kg
    3 x 5 x 35 kg --> too much, form breaking, will have to repeat next time

    - deadlift:
    5 x 50 kg
