After much deliberation following my 300kg pull - I've decided to learn to deadlift.

Straight back DL (for realz) no belt, double overhand + straps.

5s up to 170kg - 1 single sumo to check difference in how I set my back.

    10 min bike steady state.

It's been a pleasure hanging out with you guys. I feel like my log has come to a conclusion with the 300kg pull.

    May your GainzZz be plentiful.

    Thanks.

Wow. This comes as a surprise.

If you're still there and viewing the responses to this last post, I would have to ask you one question:
Do you think that your "Attempt to start strength" has been successful?

    Best wishes, Derf!

Turned 40 a few months ago, with it came an increased desire to lift something again.

bw ca 105 kg, height remains 198 cm

    Baseline test last week

    Squat - 6x180kg 20 breath rests 5x2 180kg
    Bench (been shoulder rehabbing) 10 x 70kg, 10 x 90kg, 10 x 70 kg
    Press - 6x82.5kg 20 breath rests 5x2 82.5kg
Deadlift hook grip, no magnesium - 15x205.5kg - wanted to do 12, lost count... Full stop on all, took about 4 minutes. Had about 20 I think. Estimated 1rm about 300kg.
