First training after turning 43 yesterday. I'm up on calories for this.

    Front squat no belt

    3x70kg, 3x90kg, 3x105kg

    Press no belt

    3x5 70kg - this moved quite easily.

    Power Snatch

    3x40kg, 50kg, 60kg

70kg - discovered, I'm still surprisingly tall. Failed 4 first attempts at catch position, got the 5th.

    Chins and pulls 2x8

Derf: Happy Birthday! Didn't know you were so young!
Here's some prescient advice from an old man I know: "Don't get old."

Thank you IG, very kind of you.

So I take it, you’ve seen my videos and thought “ You know, that’s pretty impressive for a man in his sixties…” haha

I’ll certainly try, but being self employed during the past two years, I feel 20 years older than my mid 2019 self.

    Low quad weeks continues

    Press

3x5 72.5kg - last rep of last set made air escape my mouth - otherwise no real issue. Other orifices were silent.

Slow snatch, no jump - 10x40kg

    Chin and pulls 2x8

I have been to the soccer pitch 5 days straight with the 8 year old - probably the main reason my thighs are hurting. Here's hoping the rain diminishes his desire to go today..
