Awesome job on the pause squats Derf. I'm mad jealous of your progress. Also jealous of your haul. Fractional plates, straps and wrist wraps?

    Correct,

Jordan has me on percentages fractional plates becomes very useful.

Re the progress, it has dawned on me after J's nutrition, that I was at no time eating enough. And if I was, it was at no time with the correct mig of macros...

    Thanks Mex, appreciate the support.

You look pretty close to your own goal, I might add.

    Stronger and dumber
Haven't had a proper nights sleep in a week now. Brain is starting to feel fried. Please have this in mind following today's log...

Since I'm starting a new block, today was supposed to be RPE 8 on the singles. Starting with deadlift I went with 230 as a target, having done a triple on 228 last week.

    Deadlift

Got up to the single of 230 kg. Pulled it clean without a hitch, but it felt surprisingly heavy. Much more than 228 had done. Standing there puzzled as to why a guy walks past me. "Nice man! 240 kg is no joke!" So apparently I can't count anymore...

    So day looked like this.

1x240.4 kg - PR tie, but since I didn't hitch it, it's actually a PR... Plus I did it in jeans.
    3x220.4 kg
    3x210.4 kg
    3x207 kg

    Press

    1x85kg
    3x80kg
    3x77.5 kg
    3x75 kg

    No rounding back deadlifts

1x200.4 kg wasn't supposed to do this single...
    4x190.4 kg
    4x182.9 kg
    4x180.4 kg

    GPP later

So you did both rounding back and no rounding back deadlifts?

    I know how it sounds...

There is a difference between allowing a slight roundness and turtle pulls... ; )

That's what I figured. I assumed the second round of DLs was at a weight where your back stayed perfectly set through all reps.
