Wait until you are only adding 5lbs to your squat and 2.5lbs to you presses like me. That will really feel slow.

I'm adding just 1 lb to my presses as it is. Still good for 10 lbs on my squat and sometimes my Deads.

One would think my genetics for the OHP would be much better. I have a cousin who held various world records for the Olympic press. Looks like he hoarded all the genetics in the family. lol

That sounds like my family. My mom was a champion/ world record holder barefoot water skier. I've been trying to ski for 25 years or more now, and I have still never been able to get up all the way! :-)

Spudness, with your progress you will be popping up on your skis the next time you try.

ChessGuy, I did notice the 1lb increments on your press. I think I'm going to go to that too as I have really be struggling with that lift. I have a belt coming this week and I'm looking forward to trying the Press with a good belt on. I'll let you know how it works.

Yep, the press is my absolutely worst lift. But I need to do it. I'm happy if I can add 1 lb a week. Goal is 3x5x100 lbs.

Thanks Gene, I appreciate that! Really hoping to get some core stability out of all this!

ChessGuy- the way I see it, 1 lb a week is 52 lbs gained in a year. And that's not too shabby!
Are you doing the rows instead of the power cleans? I think I'm going to attempt them tomorrow, but my husband lacks the flexibility so we were thinking about what he could do instead.

    11/28/2012 Wed. 15th Workout

    Workout 'A'

3x5...Squat 145 lbs. Add 10lbs. Last set easier.
    2x5...Bench 100 lbs. Add 5lbs.
1x10 Bench 100 lbs. Just kept going and going. Actually, every session benching is a PR. Never done free weight benching ever.
1x6...Deads 150 lbs. PR! Add 10 lbs. Felt lower back hard.

First time I've been this consistent on working out.
Just about freezing tonight. Not bad.

    Thanks for looking.
