    Peaking for the meet is coming right along. 510 squat was solid without any grind although the mental piece of that lift was rough. I’m getting into territory where I am disbelieving I am actually lifting the numbers I am lifting and it’s messing with my head a little. I will settle out post meet for sure. This is just a little mind boggling to me...I am 43 years old and an intermediate lifter. I am lifting shit people 20 years younger than me stare at me cross eyed over....

    Oh and PR on both the deadlift and squat. I think I have overcome the grip issue so far although I continue to work hard on grip. What a great day and I am truly excited to go to the meet on 6/1!!! Let the games begin.

    P: 190x1, 195x1 PR, 200x1, 155 3x5

    Peaking this week for the meet next week. Ran some singles up and did ok. Form breakdown at 200# was rough. Bar keeps drifting away from my face and it sucks....PR today at both 190 and 195#. 195 was solid without any form issues and will most likely be my opener in the meet. We shall see how the next week rolls out. The NW plague has hit my house again....sigh....

    Peaking some more. I think my press might have peaked early as I couldn’t get 185 off my chest. Could also be due to lack of sleep and poor nutrition but I’m doubtful. Gonna try 185 Thursday and hope for the best. Meet on Saturday woot!

    Regardless of the outcome I just learned that a 4 week peaking cycle is too long for me...10-15 days max before the meet

    Definitely peaked early on the press and the squat is starting to fade as well. Oh well lesson learned. Meet tomorrow and I’m excited!

    Had more in the tank than I thought. Honestly thought I had peaked but then you dump a load of preworkout, adrenaline, and a buncha ppl cheering you and it has a huge effect on your lifts!
