Sorry to learn of your problems with your back and consequently with the Deadlift. I don't like the Press much either.

    531 week 1

    Squat: 70 x 5; 120 x 3; 165 x 1; 185 x 6; 165 x 5; 145 x 5
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 115 x 1; 135 x 8; 110 x 5; 95 x 5

Prowler: Non weighted down and back x 1
50 lbs. weighted down and back x 4
    HR: 180 I'm a masochist. I love the Prowler.

    Herk-a-leez Herk-a-leez Herk-a-leez Herk-a-leez

Always wanted to say that, I can see Eddie Murphy in one of his movies chanting it! (can't remember the darned show, though...)

You're a sicko, Herk. A masochistic sicko. Nice!

    531 Week 2

    Press: 45 x 6; 82.5 x 3; 95 x 1; 107.5 x 1 x 2 x 1 I could not get three to save myself. I'm trying to like this lift but it does not treat me well.
    Dead: 135 x 5; 185 x 3; 225 x 1; 275 x 1; 305 x 2 x 3; 275 x 3; 235 x 3 I love the Deadlift but sometimes it can be a real "sore head" to me. Do you recognize the quote?
    Still it was nice to get 305 x 3. Next week I'm shooting for 350 x 1.

Great deadlifting, boss! You are a glutton for punishment, aren't you. Heh

I see how you did that. Reverse the last two numbers and do it the following week. Good thing it wasn't 319 today!

It's good to read your notes. They put a smile on my face.

    531 week 2

    Squat: 70 x 5; 120 x 3; 155 x 1; 175 x 1; 195 x 6; 175 x 3; 155 x 3
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 115 x 1; 140 x 8 (I was so tired I forgot the back off lifts)

I need to get more sleep. This last week I've averaged 6 hours. It's not enough.

    531 week 3

    Press: 45 x 5; 90 x 2; 100 x 1; 112.5 x 1; 117.5 x 0 x 0; 100 x 3; 90 x 5
    Dead: 135 x 5; 185 x 2; 225 x 1; 275 x 1; 320 x 1; 345 x 0; 335 x 0; 287.5 x 3; 252.5 x 5 I thought for sure that based upon the relative ease of 320 I would lift 345 for a PR. It didn't happen. Someone suggested that this is part of getting old. Humbug.

BS. We stop gaining strength when we become complacent and don't push it as hard as before.

    Nice liftin', Herk!
