Aw, that's so sweet, Carson. What keeps me going is all of your wonderful support and cheering.

Ann is a friend of my wife and I. Ann at 76 is a powerful inspiration. I do my best. We also have a 91 year old lifter in our group at Greysteel. Miracles are happening with all of us.

Powering through your workouts like a terminator, Herk! Nice!

I've not been around much while pounding the mountains for Bambi. Have you been elected yet, or are the elections still to come?

No emperor, I'm afraid. I don't think politics is my cup of tea. For the last few weeks coming up to the election there was a group of "bully boys", actually some were girls, that started making baseless charges against me that I was a white supremacist, that I hated blacks, women, and homosexuals and that I was either conniving to keep out medical marijuana from our little town or was working in favor of more dispensaries. It was all nonsense but what can I do? I am after all an old white man. On the day of the election I had to put up with seven men walking around the election area calling me a racist. Some wore masks proclaiming that I hate women. Imagine how my wife of 50 years took that. All this and much more to keep me from threatening the status quo which is represented by a group of good ol' boys and girls who have controlled the city for 30-40 years. Well, I still have my books...I may even write one. I'm still working to preserve the last of the grand homes that still exist in the city. I still have my work with starting strength. There were many tears, especially on the part of my long suffering wife. But I'm beginning to enjoy life again. Thank God for Starting Strength.
