    Squat stretches. I hope to do a straight bar low back squat at the fall classic. I don't see much success toward that goal. Maybe I will skip the classic.

    Squat: 70 x 5; 120 x 5; 160 x 3; 190 x 1; 207.5 x 3 x 3
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 97.5 x 3 x 3
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 295 x 1 (all with hook grip); 310 x 3

    A good day all around. Did he 5 Deads in 30 seconds. First three were excellent. The last two drifted a little away from left leg but pulled them back in short order.

    Squat stretches. There seemed to be a little progress.

    Squat: 70 x 5; 120 x 5; 160 x 3; 190 x 1; 210 x 3 x 3
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 125 x 1; 137 x 5 x 3
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 295 x 1 (all hook grip); 310 x 5 workset done in 30 seconds. I was very happy with those.

    starting strength coach development program
    Deadlifting with very little pause really makes a difference. It's a mind game first. No matter how often I was reminded and how often I thought about the problem of trying to gain oxygen between lifts I would often fall back into gulping for air sometimes several times. I was absolutely determined that was not going to happen this time and for the most part it didn't. I grabbed the bar took a breath and lifted until I was through. In less than 30 seconds I was done and happy as a lark.
