Posting so I can track this thread. Hey, give us your stats, too. Age, height, weight, starting numbers. It makes the logs more intelligible.
And stay out of Ends and Pieces. Trust me.

Stats: Age: 66; Height: 5'10 1/2" Weight: 210. I never did strength before but find it now very satisfy. I began in late February with the following: Dead Lift: 55; Press and Bench Press: 45. I have a good deal of work to do on Press technique and still can't quite do a proper squat. We're working on it. I thank God for Karl referral of me to Dr. Sullivan. Sully is a wonderful coach.
I don't know what Ends and Pieces are. I hope I've avoided them.
If you are with Dr. Sullivan you are in good hands. Welcome to the forum and I wish you the best.
Welcome to the forum, Carson.
Bring your A-game tomorrow. There will be a new PR on the dead.
Indeed there was and thanks to your training my new PR is 205 on the Dead lift. I think the endorphins are running wild. I'm elated.
Fixed that for you. Also, deadlift is one word. Do not make this mistake again or the punishment will be Too Horrible To Contemplate.
Good work today. Remember: SQUOZE.
(I just learned that cue from Mike Wolf. Mike, if you see this, it worked pretty well! Told you I'd start using it immediately.)

SQUOZE? Sounds interesting. Us this a new secret cue on the deadlift?
Good luck in your training, Carson!
Squoze means squeeze the crap out of your body before you lift. Make sure ones eyes bug out, your flush with blood to the surface of your skin, your spine nearly shoots out of your back, and your neck and shoulders hurt like hell, then lift. It works. ;-)
