    Going on a beach vacation to the socialist paradise of Cuba in about 2 weeks, so I'll be doing some extra cardio and watch the junk food to try & not look like a beached whale. Currently at 235lbs after 2 weeks of stuffing my face and vegetating.

    Good workout, found a bar at the gym to deadlift with that still had decent knurling on it. PR'd that shit.
    Squat (light) work up in fahves up to 255x5x2; I was quite sore so just focused on good form
    Press 165x1, 160x4, 155x5, 155x4, 145x5; This was a rep and single PR as well. I think I have 160x5 in me for next Monday.
    Deadlift 445x5 (alternate grip), 365x5 (4 reps double overhand, 1 hook); 5-rep deadlift PR!
    Curls fuckin' around with 40x10, 35x8, 30x6 with <1min rest
    Dips BWx10x2

    Been sleeping like crap as I'm trying to not medicate myself to fall asleep, and dealing with a low grade cold. Nonetheless, I'm hoping I can execute the remaining workouts as well as hit some significant PRs on my test day before vacation.

    Plan for next 2 weeks

    Fri Jan 6: Squat 375x3 top set + backoff triples, Bench 225x5xN +backoffs (depending on elbow issues.. just maintaining at this point)
    Mon, Jan 9: Squat 365x5x3, Press 160x5 top set + backoff fives
    Wed, Jan 11: squat light, Bench 225x5xN + backoffs, Deadlift 450x5 + backoffs
    Fri, Jan 13: Squat 385x2 top set + backoff doubles, Press 170 single + backoff fives
    Mon, Jan 16: light everything as preparation, bench max test
    Wed, Jan 18: Mock Strengthlifting Meet
    SQUAT: 1st attempt 375, 2nd attempt 395, 3rd attempt 405
    PRESS: 1st attempt 170, 2nd attempt 175, 3rd attempt 180
    DEADLIFT: 1st attempt 470, 2nd attempt 485, 3rd attempt 500
    TARGET TOTAL: 1085lbs

    Hacking up a lung last night thanks to a cold. Doped myself up and knocked out a pretty successful heavy squat workout. I hate my bench press.

    The cold really sapped my strength for this one even though I'm feeling a lot better. I'd say I am at about 85% of normal strength levels.
    Squat 365x4,3, 355x3; was supposed to be 365 for three sets of 5. Tweaked my back a bit, too.

    Starting to feel okay again. Hopefully by Friday I can be semi-peaked and hit a couple more singles PRs.
    Squat (light) 225x5x2; went no heavier as my left adductor was bothering me
    Bench 225x5,5,4; no spot so I racked #4. Maybe could have gotten it. Really good tightness on the bench, it 'clicked'.
    Deadlift singles at 405, 445, 475, and yes, 495 (PR); that felt good!

    Congrats on that dadlift PR.

    Looks like you're on the way to surpassing your deadlift 3rd attempt at your mock meet.

    Thanks! Not sure if I will have time for the mock meet anymore as I now have a work trip that day. Nonetheless, pretty happy about this cycle.
