    Workout A (30th June 2014)

    Squat
    1 x 1 x 142.5kg (313lbs) [PR]
    1 x 5 x 120kg (265lbs)

    Bench Press
    3 x 4 x 84kg (185lbs) [PR]

    Chinups
    BW x 16
    BW x 10
    BW x 6

Poor workout although poor nutrition over the weekend probably didn't help. Strange how I could squat 140kg for 3x5 and only got 1 rep at 142.5kg.

I also wish my bench wasn't as shite.

    Workout B (2nd June 2014)

    Deadlift
    1 x 5 x 150kg (330lbs)

    Overhead Press
    3 x 5 x 63kg (138.6lbs) [PR]

    Chinups
    3 x 5 x BW + 5kg (11lbs)

    Hanging Leg Raises
    BW x 40
    BW x 15
    BW x 15

    Bodyweight = 203lbs

Redeemed myself with this workout. Back to my old self. Press PR and an easy(ish) deadlift.

Felt my form was better than it's ever been on deads tonight. Felt I was getting a good efficient bar path as the bar was scraping my shins nicely going up and back down. I think I could make a new PR of 160kgx3x5 in two weeks time but we will see.

Good job on the press PR. Those always feel good. Press almost feels the heaviest yet it is the lightest load.

I thought after I came back on here after almost a month you'd be done with LP but good to see you're really squeezing out every single KG you can get from it!

Keep going pal! Looking forward to seeing your Press catch up with your Bench

Thanks mate but I've still got a while to go before I catch up with your presses!

I'm a stubborn bastard so I'm not going to jump to Texas Method until I know I can't progress my lifts on LP anymore. My bench/press/deadlift I feel I can still eek out more progress on LP but my squat probably doesn't have much left at all by the feel of it. Right now I'd like to get my bench 90kg+ by the end of LP. Pressing 84kg would beast but that's a long way off in the horizon!

Idk about that man, you aren't far off. A little more than 10 pounds. You are killin it on the ohp.

It'll be a sad day when life taps me on the shoulder and tells me it's time for intermediate programming. I'm with you on that one.

    Workout A (4th June 2014)

    Squat
    1 x 2 x 142.5kg (314lbs) [PR]
    2 x 5 x 130kg (286lbs)

    Bench Press
    2 x 5 x 84kg (185lbs)
    1 x 6 x 84kg (185lbs) [PR]

    Chinups
    2 x 5 x BW + 5kg (11lbs)
    1 x 3 x BW + 5kg (11lbs)

    Bodyweight = 204lbs

Either I'm stalling out on squat again or I'm not pushing myself hard enough. It just felt too heavy second rep was to failure I think. Annoying, I just want to keep progressing and progressing! Dropped the weight and 130kg felt pretty easy now compared to when I done it before so must be getting stronger!

First set on bench was a bit all over the place but the last two were better. Got a cheeky sixth rep on my last set. I also like the fatter bar I used today for bench. Felt I got better tightness gripping it compared to the thinner bar I usually use. Just want my bench up to 90kg for the love of mercy!

    Workout B (7th June 2014)

    Squat
    1 x 1 x 142.5kg (314lbs)
    2 x 5 x 130kg (286lbs)

    Overhead Press
    1 x 4 x 64kg (141lbs)
    1 x 3 x 64kg (141lbs) [PR]
    1 x 0 x 64kg (141lbs) Missed first rep and used up too much energy I think
    1 x 3 x 60kg (132lbs)

    Chinups
    3 x 5 x BW + 5kg (11lbs)

    Bodyweight = 202lbs

I need to eat more. I didn’t eat enough over the weekend so felt weak and under recovered from Friday’s session. I’ll be deloading squats as I’ve stalled three times at the same weight now.

I’m pretty annoyed with failing press. I really want to get more out of press on LP. My form was a bit off and I let the bar get too far from my face which made it harder for myself and my triceps were practically fried after the first set.

Well done on hitting 140 kg for the squat, even though stalling afterwards must be frustrating. I see you've deloaded the squat before, so will this next deload be your last gasp at extending the LP? I admire your persistence, but if it starts taking more than one session to LP a weight you'd progress just as fast on weekly loading.

    starting strength coach development program
I think LP on squats has been exhausted so you're right about changing to weekly progress (Texas Method). When my other lifts stall out again I'll be switching to intermediate programming I think. I'm going to be eating as much as I can to make sure I can eek out the last bit of novice gains on press/bench/deads.
