Hey Got2squat, here is a link to the platform video if you want to see it. I like the first part with instruction, then watching the rest is kind of frustrating to me since some of their form is so bad, but Rip does give good corrections.

I tried to increase by 2# on bench today after my deload and got pinned under the 4th set, oops. Had to go back to 105# for the rest, not sure if I should try 107 again on Friday or just do 106. I can't get greedy with these detrained upper body lifts!
    Squats: 45x5x2, 75x3, 105x3, 135x2, 155x1, 172.5x3x2, 165x3x3 (95%)
    Bench: 45x5x2, 65x3, 85x2, 95x1, 107(3,3,3,1), 105x3x2, 85x10 (closer grip) for penance

I wish I had started weight training earlier, since it's harder to make gains now that I have adult responsibilities and poor recovery. There is so much pressure for girls her age to be as small as possible, which drives girls and women to excessive cardio, dieting, and disordered eating patterns. I wish every girl would take up strength training to be all-around better at sports and life, but most are too scared that they'll get big and bulky. I am actually trying to bulk up and it's so hard, haha! I guess I'm saying that if she's worried about it, you can show her my videos to prove that you don't get really bulky by lifting weights, but it sounds like she is very well-adjusted!
I really wish more young women would listen to you SaraBeth and develop your very very healthy attitude!
(well except maybe my 21-yr-old Daughter; not sure I want her whooping my butt anytime soon lol)

Today went very well. I'm getting back into the press groove, and my 2.0 form is getting better. I also don't have any pelvic pain after deadlifting for the first time since the meet and that stupid bowling incident, so that's a plus.
    Light squats: 45x5x2, 75x5, 105x5, 140x5x3
    Press 2.0: 33x5, 45x5x2, 65x3, 75x2, 81x3x5
    DL: 135x3, 185x2, 220x3x2

So being the enginerd that I am, I calculated the total amount lifted in a week on my current program vs Texas Method (minus the power cleans and snatches). Using my current weights, I would be lifting about 3500 lbs LESS per week if I was doing TM! The numbers turn out to be 13000 lbs/week now vs 9500 lbs/week on TM. The big difference of course comes on Intensity day when the number of work sets drops to 1. I'm basically doing 2 volume days and one recovery. I'm thinking of just switching everything over since I'm doing weekly increases on squat and DL now anyway. Maybe I'm overworking myself and don't need to do so much volume? It's very tempting since I've been running novice programming for close to a year now and it's wearing me down now that the squat weights are getting heavier.

I like TM. I found it to be quite a nice break from LP when I first started it. Mind you, I deloaded a bit. But only having to do a few reps at the really heavy weights was a mental and physical break from the grind of LP. Of course, eventually volume day gets tough. But if you are smarter than me, you will not insist on pushing the weight up every single volume day.

Thanks for the advice Janet! I am de-loading now, and will probably plan a light week every 4 weeks or so to help with recovery. My new intermediate log is here http://startingstrength.com/resource...ad.php?t=53777
