    12-8-14 Workout:

    Squat: 225 x 5 x 3
    Bench: 180 x 5 x 3
    Curls: 60 x 10 x 3

So I stopped logging workouts but I didn't stop working out. Progress has been sporadic due to illnesses, travel, and other stuff. I got my squat back up to 255 x 5 x 3 then took a one week hiatus for Thanksgiving travel. Then I got a cold on the trip and took another week off. Now I'm down 6 lbs in bodyweight and still feeling pretty weak so I took today relatively easy. I should be able to train with more consistency starting next month and until then I'm going to get in as often as I can and keep eating. The plan is to just keep at it no matter what.

    12-10-14 Workout:

    Squat: 205 x 5 x 3
    Press: 115 x 5 x 1, 115 x 4 x 1, 115 x 5 x 1
    DL: 315 x 2 x 1

I may have been slightly overambitious when I came back on Monday. DOMS started setting in pretty bad yesterday evening and it was rough today, hence the light squats. I'm also just still feeling worn out overall from the recent illness. Definitely should have gone lighter on the DL today but I'm usually able to tough them out. Not today. I decided discretion was the better part of valor when the third rep wouldn't come off the floor. On the plus side my squat form looked very good today. Back at it on Friday.

    12-12-14 Workout:

    Squat: 235 x 5 x 3
    BP: 185 x 5 x 3
    Curls: 60 x 11 x 2, 60 x 12 x 1

Feeling better now, not as drained. Reps are still tough but I'm also not so damn sore. Hopefully I can really get back into it next week.

    12-15-14 Workout:

    Squat: 245 x 5 x 3
    Press: 117.5 x 5 x 1/ x 4 x 2
    Curls: 65 x 10 x 2 / x 8 x 1

This is my first day back at my civilian job so I'm trying to get my workout in first thing in the morning. First day not so great. The last reps on all of my squats were miserably hard and the press was just hard today. Hopefully this will get better as I adjust. Just have to keep showing up.

    12-17-14 Workout:

    Light Squat: 205 x 5 x 3
    Bench: 187.5 x 5 x 3
    Deadlift: 315 x 2 x 1, 275 x 3 x 1

I have definitely regressed on the deadlift. Going to have to do a small reset and work back up.

    12-19-14 Workout:

    Squat: 245 x 5 x 3 (all to depth!)
    Press: 117.5 x 4 x 1, 115 x 5 x 2

Squats went pretty well, depth was good today unlike Monday. I had a good moment on the second set. The fourth rep was a grinder, not awful but definitely slow. In the past when rep 3 or 4 gets real heavy my mind wants to quit. Voices in my head say "that was too heavy, go down again and you won't come back up," basically variations on "I can't do it." Also in the recent past I wasn't lifting with reliable safeties which made those voices harder to ignore. My mind started doing that again after rep 4 and I just got pissed and went after it anyway. I actually said aloud "fuck you you can do this." The rep was rock solid, all the way down, and popped back up just as quickly as rep 1 on the set. Hopefully I can continue to get better at telling that voice to STFU and get the most out of those later reps. It really is 90% mental.

    12-22-14 Workout:

    Pushup: 20 x 3
    Curls: 67.5 x 10 x 2/ x 11 x 1
    Deficit Deadlift: 255ish x 5 x 1

Gym is closed until the new year so I had to make do with an old (and I do mean OLD) 1" bar and plates. Biggest plates I have are 25 lb so these were deficit deadlifts and I did not go heavy. Deficits suck.
