Introduced power cleans today. I used the training bar and some wooden training plates made for me by my husband. I read the chapter is SS a few times last week and followed the instructions. What can I say? I nailed it and it was the funnest thing ever. Video forthcoming. Pretty sure I'm neither especially quick nor powerful, but I'm going whole hog anyway.
I, um, accidentally did an experiment to see if drinking vodka at the lake with your sister in the afternoon will affect your performance if you lift in the early evening. It will. Ahem. I decided to finish my lifts this morning.

OMG, it's as bad as I thought or even worse.
I just looked at that chart for 1RMs, and after 19 weeks, my 1RM for BP is "untrained." That means I was as weak as a kitten and now I'm as strong as a kitten? WTF. I mean, I knew I wasn't impressing anyone...but damn. So weak. On the bright side, my DL 1RM promises to be intermediate in the next couple weeks. On one hand, who cares? I'm better off than I was 19 weeks ago. I'm going with that perspective.
