When my wife got sick and then passed away I stopped lifting for at least 5 years. My son had still been training and sent me something about Mark Ripoitoe going to Dr. Kens house here in Long Island N.Y. I looked up Ripp, found this site and got interested in training again. I like to think I'm a little stronger than the average guy my age. I know for sure if I didn't lift I would be much weaker. I still get asked by others to help when heavy things need to be moved, so I guess I look pretty strong. I sure most of the numbers we see here on the S.S. forum are above average. I won't make the same mistake again, even if my lifts go down I will keep training.
