    bp 75 1x5, 105 1x5, 135 4x5

had my H day on saturday instead of sunday since i have a work trip that will mess things up this week. note to self: avoid gym on saturday mornings...man it was packed. but the owner was very kind and cleared some crossfitters out of a squat rack for me so i could do my thang. sq felt ok, bp was a struggle. for me the hardest part of the bench is unracking it, that's when my elbows nearly give way and i almost lose it. weird

You got the work in, that's what counts. Even in a packed gym it's near impossible to find a competent spotter - but it may be useful to help with the unracking?

yeah, as i'm getting close to fails i either have to start bp-ing in a rack with pins or swallow my embarrassment at the weight i'm benching and get a spotter...my pride will probably be easier to digest than the bar

Don't try to digest a bar. It's what killed Dick the Bruiser.

The rack will not look you in the face as you explain "please don't touch the bar unless it goes down/I grunt/secret handshake/klaxon sounds/Atlantis re-emerges from the fuckin deep" and then nod and then proceed to grab and yank on the bar at the earliest opportunity.

    mon 3/6/17 L
    sq 45 1x10, 135 1x5, 185 1x5, 225 1x5, 240 2x5
    ohp 75 1x5, 90 1x5, 105 2x5, 1x3
    dl 225 1x5, 295 1x5, 340 1x2

i do like these light squat days...but that means it's ohp day. ugh. couldn't get that 3rd set at 105, guess i repeat next week.

i decided if i'm only gong to dead once a week then by gum i'll make it a workout. so did a double at 340, which felt ok...probably could have done at least 1, maybe 2 more.

Yes, light squat days are fun. But presses are ick at the same time.
