Nice work. I may need to add some rack pulls in too.

I've heard mixed things. A fellow woman who lifts was super disappointed to see the actress they chose to play wonder woman is a typical rail thin model. Why couldn't they get a powerlifter or just about any woman who's like, actually strong and strong-looking?

    /rant

I'm still on the fence about seeing it. :-) What did your bride think?

well gal gadot is very athletic looking (also very easy on the eyes I freely admit); I wouldn't call her a typical rail thin model; heck she was in the Israeli Army. And as a daughter of Zeus she doesn't need the obvious bulky muscles us mere mortals do

in a sense the movie was fairly conventional as far as structure and roles, which was ok by us. my Bride frankly preferred Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as its more blatant humor was somewhat more entertaining (not that it was any great shakes either)

the one thing that struck us both immediately was a scene where WW and Steve are relaxing in a French hamlet they've just saved and there's the required radio playing an Edith Piaf song in the background...in 1918 lol god script writers are so lazy sometimes. Also it was kind of annoying how, again in a movie set during WW1, the Germans are portrayed as basically Nazis.

FINALLY pulled 385. it is the ugliest, worstest, piss-poor looking deadlift you will ever see in your life and not suitable for young children but the shit went up

Not that I can lift 385, yet, but that was quite a jump from 315 to 385. I don't think I could make that big of a jump.
