after going out with my Bride the past 2 night i had low expectations for today and i managed not to reach them. everything felt leaden, left knee was a little Crankasaurus on the squats, 425 on the rp felt like a ton. no worries, need to get back in the rhythm

Seriously, you're letting life get in the way of lifting? Man, what's wrong with you?

On a lighter note, though, when you failed 405 last time, did it get off the floor at all? I'm guessing not, 'cause if you'd gotten it up to your knee, you likely would have finished the pull.

I don't know if haltings would help. It doesn't seem logical that, if you can't break 405 off the floor, trying a halting at 425 would work.

Although getting a solid eight hours of sleep every night certainly couldn't hurt. I used to do that commute into New York, and I can't imagine lifting on top of that.

I can't imagine lifting anything with the commute you do everyday. Props to you.

405 will come off the floor. I wonder if you just managed to take a quick break from all of it and sleep and eat a ton, if it would just pop off the floor.

Nope, never broken it off the floor. I *think* I've flexed the hell out of the bar once or twice though!

Actually that idea of just taking a break from it sounds like it has merit.

But how can I ever get a bloodied forehead if I don't keep beating my head against the wall?

mehville. everything felt leaden again. i have to admit that it's been a while since i did either 275 on the sq or 110 on the ohp, and to do them both in the same session probably took away something from the deads but still, 365 barely moved. ah well, will work out tues and thurs this week then take next sunday off as we're driving up to Boston to see Daughter, so some definite R&R is programed in
