You seem to be doing pretty good with the lifting as well, I think!

    Weds 7/22/15 light day
    SQ 45 1x5, 135 1x5, 185 1x5, 235 3x5, 225 1x8
    DL 135 1x5, 205 1x5, 255 1x5

I missed going on Tuesday because, well, beer and fish tacos with my Bride at the Inlet Cafe was not something to be turned down. The bus was late so I didn't have too much time in the gym. It felt good to finally get a full work session done on the SQ after a couple of hectic weeks...been a while since I did 3x5 on the heavier load. 235 felt ok, it's not at all heavy on the shoulders but I'm not coming up out of the hole with the authority that I should. I honestly probably need to find a way to get some more sleep but that ain't happening. And as usual 225 on the back-off ( a whopping 10lbs lighter than my work sets lol) felt lighter than 185 on the way up. Since I was short on time and looking for any reason to avoid doing OHP I decided to do a round of deadlifts and dang they felt nice. 255 came up nice and easy.

Now hopefully I won't hurt myself at the church softball game tomorrow night and I can get back somewhat on track.

    Tues 7/28/15 heavyish day
    SQ 45 1x5, 135 1x5, 185 1x5, 235 1x5, 255 2x5, 235 1x5
    DL 135 1x5, 185 1x5, 235 1x5, 285 1x5 pr

as this month rolls along i'm finding it impossible to get to the gym much. vacation schedule at work has me staying there longer (which means I get caught in worse traffic heading down the Shore at night) and other things keep popping up. That's life of course, but I felt the need to try and go heavyish tonight just, well, because. The sq went okay, it was nice to get 2 sets done at 255 and I probably could have ground out the 3rd but there were people doing chin-ups just a few feet to my left, sort of in my line of sight, and I just couldn't concentrate. The dl's felt great, and I'm exceedingly pleased to pull the full set at 285; my grip was getting loosey-goosey on the last couple but I locked them out. It's nice in spite of all the distractions to be still making some progress.

Thanks for your kind words. It appears that you moving up on me in the DL and have surpassed me in the Squat. I've got my work cut out for me.

Why go train more often if you still can PR your deads? Good stuff.
