    I've been following your log but never commented - interesting to see you using big squat volume to get unstuck.

    What I've been gathering from reading about programming is that for older lifters (which I'm not QUITE in that category yet at 35), volume at sufficient intensity to drive progress is frequently more helpful than intensity - it's just tough to find that point where volume and intensity are sufficient for progress but not too much for recovery.

    oh my GOD it was nice to finally have a squat set go well again. the 265s werent easy but sombitch they got done. maybe those sets of 50 helped, maybe it was something else, who knows but yee-haw. The ohp were useless as always, and on the last rep at 105 i failed miserably because it required a grind and as my name isnt peez or cmynhier that shit ain't happening on a press.
    the squat was a mix of happy and frustrating because i had it about 6 inches off the floor and i just knew i could get that bitch up but then my left hand failed; i will not use the hook grip i will not. soon you will be mine, oh yes, you will.
    Mixed grip? All of us Jersey SSers can grind presses. Peez. Cmynhier. Me. Skittles. (Not sure about lou t). Yours just might need some work on keeping the bar closer to its preferred vertical path. You can't grind one that's way out in front of you. Very nice work on the squats!
