    Sun 3/8/15 Hvy Day
    SQ 195 3x5
    BP 110 3x5
    DL 195 1x5

BP was a pr, which is something i guess (more of an indication of how weak I was at the begining of this process than anything else); DL felt very heavy, I guess due to losing an hour of sleep plus no breakfast. i really was hoping to bump it to 205 but I could tell in the warmups at 165 that there wasn't much in the tank. Oh well, slow and steady.

Good job on the bench pr. It progresses slowly but it's worth it.

    Tues 3/10/15 light
    SQ 165 3x5
    OHP 95 1x3, 90 2x4
    Chins 3ish
    Pend Rows 90 3x5

squats felt good and easy, trying to keep my Elvis Knees from Hound Dogging as I come up out of the hole; moderate success
OHP were a mess: like a lazy dope I decided to bump it up to 95 instead of 90 so I wouldn't have to root around for the 2.5lb plates, by the 3rd rep it was a big mistake. dropped it back to 90 but the damage was done and i could barely get the 4th rep on the subsequent sets done. oh well.
    Pendlays felt good at 90.

I hear you on the press - adding weight is no joke. I just bought a pair of 1lb plates from Rogue that I'll be carrying to the gym. Even 5lb jumps are getting too difficult.

    Keep at it!

    Thurs 3/12/15 med day
    SQ 185 3x5
    DBP 90 2x9
    Chins 3
    Pend Rows 105 3x5

was out at a bar with my Bride waaaay too late Weds night and I paid for it on the DBPs. Squats were fine but arms worn out from too many reps lifting pints the night before failed miserably on the DBPs. Was able to make a biggish jump of 15# on the Pends as penance; probably too big a jump as they weren't as 'poppy' off the floor as they should have been.

assuming this cold doesn't get any worse will shoot for getting both sq and dl to 205 on sunday; that will be very nice.

I read how your shoulders hurt when your coach had you hold the bar low. I went to a sqt camp two weeks ago and the coach had me
try to get the bar lower. My shoulder killed me for two days. I just got some handles that may help me get the bar lower. Tried them Monday and seemed ok, only problem is the bar tends to roll up as I lean forward .

Hi Jerry, yeah I read your post about that I believe; if I can't loosen these things up as I hopefully start shrugging higher weights that may be something I'll have to look into.

    starting strength coach development program
    Sunday 3/15/15 heavy day
    SQ 205 3x5
    BP 115 1x2, 110 1x5, 112.5 2x5 pr
    DL 205 1x5

went to the driving range yesterday and hit a jumbo bucket of 100 balls so the back was a little sore this morning; not tweaky at all just muscle soreness, so i was curious how things would go on top of this damn cold i've got. very pleased, SQ at 205 went surprisingly easy, and as this ties my previous pr a special shout out of thanks to Adam Skillin is due for giving me this patience schedule that I'm on.
On the BP the 5lb jump to 115 was just too much for my wet noodle arms, but was able to deload a touch to 112.5 and complete the workout which is still a pr so no real cause for complaint.
The DL at 205 came up nice and easy; really really have to fight the urge not to make too big a jump.
