fork yeah but really it's bottle control: wine during the week is the problem. but we've cut that out and planning a trip to Iceland next May, so the walking is in focus for hiking

Congrats on the Schrödinger's PR, Mr B! Celebrate it, regardless of its status.

I hear ya on the walking. I did a couple of stints of trail work over the summer and I was lagging behind everyone, under load or not. That's something that was never an issue. And with the winter backcountry shenanigans starting in just a few months, I know that I need to get the legs moving more. Oh, and the beer control.

    Keep at it!

one of my favorite Willie Nelson songs:

People keep trying to tell me
that i'd better start slowing it down
but there are more old drunks than there are old doctors
so I guess I better have another round...

    sun 10/2/22

    sq 55 11x5, 145 1x5, 195 1x5, 235 1x5, 285 1x5, 325 1x5

tweaked something on the way down on the 4th rep at 325 in my right knee. I tend to descend too quickly and catch myself to snap back up, and something clicked in a not-good way. 5th rep was uncomfortable, as was a subsequent air squat, so we'll give it a rest for a couple days.

I really do hate those, no matter where in the body they occur.

    Hopefully it resolves itself quickly.
