    i was up in your neck of the woods for a golf outing last monday, and i was very happy with how my drives were flying. everything else sucked donkey dongs, mind you, but i was driving it mighty fine!

    OHP Intensity / Bench Volume

    OHP: 45x5x2, 65x5, 75x3, 85x2
    work: 102.5x5

    I love my tiny little 1.25 pound plates.

    Bench: 45x10, 65x5, 85x3, 95x2, 105x1
    work: 115x5x5 This was grueling. It's the next step on the road to 135 though. This has gotta drive me to 127.5 on Thursday which puts me right in line for a 135 bench in two weeks.
    Since I forgot to do any backoffs on the OHP, I punished decided to do an AMRAP 65 backoff. I got bored at 15 reps. My boobs are getting big.

    Chins -- did three of as far up as I could go / as long as I could hang there.

    Default Volume, you ain't got SQUAT on me

    Squat: 45x10, 85x5, 135x3, 185x2, 205x1
    work: 230x5x5 On the first rep of the first set, I lost my balance and hit the safeties. I thought I was stuck but I ground it out and did what amounts to a paused squat. It was super rugged and that set was a grinder. Sets 2-5 were better. I had a kid videotape set 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PAgosM2yN4.

    Since I'm banned from doing powercleans until I fix my arm bend, I decided to do some light deadlifts.

    DL: 135x5, 185x5, 225x5. All double-overhand and 225 was pretty easy.

    It's useful for scaring kids with boom boxes out of the weight room.

    What do you think of the bar position? It looks like the bar rolls a bit each rep which makes me think I've got it wrong.

    work: 127.5x5 Easy. 135 here I come.... three weeks.
    Backoff: 95x5, 65x8

    OHP: 45x10, 65x5, 75x3, 85x2
    work: 95x5x5. Last rep of sets 3,4,5 were grinders. Instead of three minute rest I timed a four minute rest.

    Chin failures: 1x3

    I'm wondering if just failing at chins 6 times a week is going to get me anywhere, and thinking maybe I'd be wiser to do chin-grip lat pulldowns, three sets of five, and run a 5 pound linear progression on them from whatever I can do easily. I bet if I can do something like 175x5x3 I might be able to chine. I hate not being able to do one, single, fucking, chinup.
