My back is still fiddly from my squat problem last Friday, although foam rolling has made a noticeable difference in just one day. My buddy coming back from Fla. is having problems with his back too, but he's been dealing with it for weeks.

Squats can be fucking deadly. A friend of a friend of mine used to be an avid powerlifter but was squatting without collars when sloppy form dropped all the plates from one side of his ~500 lb squat. I think you can imagine how that ended and how fucked up his back became as a result of it. Ended his lifting career, at a young age too. This is precisely why I'm buying my own heavy-duty collars. Not messing around with this shit.

Point being that I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Nothing like an injury during gains to take the wind out of your sails.

Super fucking disturbing -- went to do OHP's today. Halfway through the exact same warmup I do almost every session (5 minutes on the recumbent cycle set to "Heart Rate" mode with 120 as a target), I got the same sudden debilitating headache I got on Tuesday. It happened as soon as my HR went to 110 .. BLAM. I decided since walking is difficult, OHP's would be stupid, so I showered and I'm sitting at my desk. Just took four advil. I might call the doctor if things aren't better in an hour or so.

I hope a long weekend of rest, grilled meat and beer has helped.

I'm not sure. I can still feel some tension in my lower right neck. I'm going to try warming up today and see how it goes, but I suspect I'll be looking for a massage or something to loosen that area up.
