5/22/17 GGW Week 5 (Heavy Squat Day)
Squat - 387.5 x 5 x 3 390 x 5 x 1
Press - 150 x 5 x 3
SGDL - 375 x 5 x 3 (avec straps)
Dips - BW x 7, 10, 9
Notes:
387.5 is an odd number for squats, eh? Yes. Because I stupidly forgot a 2.5 plate on the left side of the bar. Booh. Caught it on the last set.
No big deal. The plan is to do 388, but I usually round up when the weights are fairly light. Still on plan...
Squats were challenging, but eminently do-able.
Press was uneventful. Perhaps even easy?
Used snatch grip DL as a DL variant instead of deficit DLs today. Some say it hits your upper back.
I didn't notice that so much, but maybe I'm doing them wrong.
Dips were done for elbow health. Plus I like them.

5/24/17 Recovery Day
Squat - 340 x 5 x 2 (paused most reps)
Bench - 240 x 5 x 4
Rows - 205 x 6 x 4
Dips - BW+25 x 8,10,8
Bench moved well, other than that, I have nothing to report.
Proceeding to have an adequate day. Hope you have the same...
5/26/17 - Heavy DL/Press Day
Squat - 365 x 5 x 3 (w/ pause on 2nd and 3rd sets)
Press - 160 x 5 x 4
DL - 425 x 5 (hook grip), 405 x 6 (Snatch grip w/ straps)
Pullups - BW x 5
Things felt good today. Trying out pullups for the first time in a while. Elbows felt ok. Can't do chinups yet - left elbow says "no".
Press felt light and easy. I guess these are doing well.
DL felt solid except the hook grip hurts (as usual). Really like SGDLs, so I added one set of these even though they are not on the program. With the straps, they feel great and work my back hard. They tend to get out in front of my shins, though. Gotta work on that....
