Today was a good lifting day. Worked from home so was able to squeeze in a mid-afternoon session after some lunchtime carbs.

Squats: 3x5x120. Much happier with feet placement and keeping knees out.

    BP: 3x5x92

DL: 1x5x190. Need to keep working on setting my lower back but the weight still flew up. Gotta love days like this!

Thanks Annie! I've got my fingers also crossed that your shoulder issue is resolved.

Thurs pushed prowler x 8. Ugh.

    Today's session:

Squats: 3x5x125. Almost to the 45s, can't wait

    OHP: 3x5x52

    Chins: 7,7,7

Have a love/hate relationship with the prowler. Definitely wouldn't push it before squats because it kicks my butt.

    Good work.

Clearly I have the same unhealthy relationship because the prowler sucks...and my neighbors like to make fun of me. And yet I still push the damn thing.

Last few days have been a crappy whirlwind of high stress, poor sleep, and less than ideal nutrition. Missed monday's session, which didnt help. But back in the garage today.

Squats, well they were god awful ugly at 3x5x130. Really just a complete shitshow but oh well. The weight still went up and I solidered on.

Bench was pleasantly easy at 3x5x93. Gonna just jump up to 95 next time cuz I hate micro plates sometimes.

Deadlift was also easy weight-wise at 1x5x195.

Gonna push the sled tomorrow with more weight to drive my stress into oblivion. It may be the first time I've ever looked forward to that misery.

Some days just making it through a lifting session is a victory. Today was one of those days. It wasn't my best day, it wasn't my worst. But I did my lifts and decided to be okay with where I am in this moment rather than worry about where I should be.

Decided to repeat squats at 3x5x130 just to make sure I was solid before bouncing to 135 next time. Went okay, so next time to 45s.

Oh press was okay at 3x5x53. Then did some chins.

Monday: did nothing weight-wise. Ended up going to austin to adopt a dog instead.

But today was a good milestone day for lifting.

Hit 3x5x135 for squats! Reps 4 and 5 were a grind on all 3 sets so I may need to switch to 5x3 soon. But for now I'll keep at it till I actually fail a rep.

BP: 3x5x95. PR I think or darn close. Lost my records from last LP.

Deadlift: 1x5x200! Finally in the twos! Super excited about that!!!
