3 consecutive days of surprise and major yard work. Only one involving my yard.
over training symptoms without training... what a deal.

slept for 3 hours after work, got up did what I could.

Press (with arc) shoulders feeling somewhat better, what would I do without these?
    22x5
    82x5x3

    Bench
    45x5
135x5x3 (would have preferred to do 165 but shoulder iffy)

would have tried squat warm ups again but ran out of time, and my legs are cooked.

been working on losing weight since 5/1. Have some decent ideas. Not going as well as I had hope, probably in part due to poor lifting since my trip.

On the bright side, I'm working through my problems.
Work has not been my friend here. Too much OT and stress, especially when I take a couple days off. We're not even in busy season.

Hope to get in some squats tomorrow.
I'm going to declare victory on today's workout, I showed up and did something. Mentally, I needed that.

    6/5/2019 Wednesday +2
    bw: 267.4 down 8.8 from 5/1

    Deadlift
    135x5
    225x3
    245x0,0

Mentally needed this. Should have done 5 at 225, they were there, I though 245 would go better.
Feels like a step in the right direction.

Reading this reminded me of the day I was sure I was going to do 3 reps with 245 and it felt like it was glued to the floor.
Trying to loose or even maintain weight, yard work and stress aren't conductive to maxing out I've found out, at least in my case.

Thanks for the kind word Jerry. I'm happy I CAN DO THE YARD WORK. This wasn't the case not long ago.

    Saturday 6/8/2019
    wt: 266.4

    Squat
    0x5
    45x5x2
    135x5
    185x4,3,5

But I did pick up 19 40 lb pavers (16x16x2) and made a walkway.
    They went
    store pallet to cart
    cart to van
    van to tractor cart
    tractor cart to walkway

... oh an there was "ground leveling" with a pick and some sand involved.
So a rather uneven performance on the 185 squat (when I was expecting to just clean up a bad set at 225).
Also mowed, which any more is a nothing.

I know that my work sets will stabilize with some consistency, rest, and less taxing extra activity.
And it is really nice to be losing weight.

Took some time to just sleep more. Felt very over trained, and completely undeserved.

    Press / Arcs
    22x5
    72x5
    82x5x3

    Squat
    0x5x2
    45x5
    135x5
    185x5x3

More traveling coming, hopefully less yard work.

On the positive side, my dehydrator is working out great. (NESCO FD-1018A, Gardenmaster Food Dehydrator)
The Beef jerky came out great. Great for road trips. Should have done this years ago.

FYI: have a vacation in August which involves hiking. Preliminary "test walks" indicate a "need for speed"... and distance. So, I've been taking a quick walk at lunch and my 12 minute Nortic trak "walk" in the morning. I'll be in mountains so I'll be using treking poles. Also, explains some of the recent focus on weight, beyond the normal concerns of a 51" belly measurement. Oh, and there will be "altitude". Keeping up with the others would be great.

Trying to take two sort walks a day on non lifting days, 1 when I lift. Also substitute with 12 min Nortic track if needed.

Focus on behaving healthier. (aka less like a wolf on a carcass)
I'm about at the point where I "embrace all the projects", which seem to keep on coming.
couple more rounds of travel this summer.

Got my dehydrator going, great jerky, tried raisins and now drying some Mango. These are great for road trips and hiking.
Also discovered "oven sauses" which I'm using in the crock pot, then hitting things quickly with the grill (3 min / side on medium).
So far chicken breasts and pork steaks have turned out great.

Im close to 70 and while I'd still like to get stronger or at least maintain what I have left of of it I believe getting in some conditioning should be my goal. I just read here Ripp reccomrnd to a fellow gezzer 2 days lifting a two days of something like the prowler to help .
