SUNDAY 12/1/2019 +6 days from last lift 49F in garage

    bw: 256.6

SQUAT 45X5 135X3 230x5x3 +2.5 Depth bad... will repeat weight
    Press/arc 42x5 94x5x3 +0 accidentally did not go up the planned +1
    DEAD 135x3 205x1 257.5x0 255x0 245x5

OK, being sick finally caught up with me.
    Glad I showed up.

I've made a "turkey version" of the monster mash.
Apparently a 14.3 lb turkey (on sale after Thanksgiving) will fit in 2 7QT slow cookers.
    Covered in water,
    high 2 hours
    stripped meat.
Threw bones in the slow cookers.
    low over night
Sliced the Breasts as "leftovers". Diced the rest for Rice.

SUNDAY 12/8/2019 +7 days from last lift 47F in garage

    SQUAT 45X5 135X3 235x0 215x1 185x3
    Press/arc 42x5
    DEAD 135x5

OK, been sick a long time. This was very bad.
I didn't have much to start with, and my recovery between sets was non existent.
Stomach distress to go with general feeling of weakness. Stomach distress being the only new factor over the last three weeks or so.
The weakness was unexpected and shocking.

The stress at work has been stupid. Maybe some changes are in order.

That " stomach bug" can sure wreck havoc on our strength. Hope you feel better soon.

Saturday 12/14/2019 +6 days from last lift

    bw: 260.8

    SQUAT 45X5 135X3 205x5x3 depth good for a change
    Press/arc 42x5 94x5x3
    DEAD 135x3 215x1 255x3 was going for 5 but...

Started having a mug of bone broth first thing every morning.
Seems to make a big difference. I'd recommend it.

Sounds rather scandahoovian. My late father-in-law Justa would thoroughly approve. Along with a pinch of Skoal snus of course.

Outstanding movie, I make like 6 cameos... other than that great film.

Listened to Rip's Starting Strength Radio. Being 65.6 yo, I thought it might be time to try 3's.

    Saturday Dec 21, 2019 + 7days

    SQUAT 45x3 135x3 210x3x3 +5
    Press/arc 42x5 95x3x3 +1
    DEAD 135x3 205x1 257.5x3 + 2.5

Felt I had one in the tank on every lift. I like 3's.

Thanks so much for sharing the film on Mr. Claassen and also sharing your workouts on this forum. I greatly appreciate it. Can you tell me who your were in the video so I can put a face to blog?

I watched this with tears in my eyes thinking about how this information would have helped my dad before he passed away in 2013 at a young 68. This would have changed his life. Also watching thinking about how this WILL change my life, as well as my mother of 72 when I get her started in a few weeks.

Thanks again for posting and please fill us in on the how the triples go.
    Oh yes and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

    Travis

    Hey Travis,

Here's me at the meet failing at 315.
The hitch was obvious but the problem was hand placement... wow, learn to align your hands Mike!

Here is the guy who really posted the video, Carson.

This is 374 at a bw of about 230, at 72 yo.
