Hi Carson, yeah, hoping my lifts are considerably less embarrassing... especially squat depth.

My best recent dead has be 265x5, I feel good about bettering that
best recent squat is 232x5x3... struggling here
press is iffy with my shoulder about 70%, but at least it is not killing my dead, but does affect my squat.

    Looking forward to meeting you.

    8/31/2018 Friday
Farmer walk (light to try new handles)
    70#x80'

    9/1/2018 Saturday

    Squat
    45x5
    135x5
210x5,5,2 Video of second set was... let's say disappointing
depth was such that I used a "box" for set 3
Set 3, after two squats to depth I wasn't sure I could get the bar in the rack.
So much for being happy about the +10 pounds up from last heavy set.
I guess I'll work the box in as long as it takes to remember where "depth" is.

Press (with 10 arcs per set)
    45x5
    71x5x3 +1

    Lat Pull
    95x5
160x5,2,5 I guess 2 minutes rest isn't enough, also rack tipped when I didn't have weight on the back horns, so I gathered 200 of crap plates and it stayed on the ground better.

Was tempted to load up my new and improved farmer walk handles. But a thunderstorm made me reconsider.

I seem to seriously suck at farmer walks.

Good news. We don't compete in the farmer walk. Are you a farmer? If not, you need not be ashamed.

    9/4/2018 Tuesday evening
    wt 267

Squat 80% day (box due to serious depth issues)
    45x5
    135x3
    170x5x3
with adjustments, my head was all over the place.
Also need an inch lower box, should be no problem.
I need a much better sense of where "depth" is.
My head wants to go up in the worst way, have to find a tennis ball.

    Press (with arcs)
    42x5
    72x5x3 +1
shoulder felt good, for a change

    Lat Pull (lower bucket)
    160x5x5x3 4 min rest
another thing I seem to suck at

    dead
    135x3 rdl
205x6 +20 can't count only 60# from a pr LOL, but shoulder felt good

Trying to eat and sleep better. light farmer walks on off days... since I don't have time for much of a walk.

    9/6/2018 Thursday

    Farmer walk
    70#x400'

TLDR: Walk in a covered parking lot with 8' spaces. So an out and back of 25 means 8' x 25 x 2 = 400'
Plan increase weekly by 5#, and do 2 to 4 walks per week.

Have you set goals for your lifts at the Fall Classic? Does the Farmer Walk help your grip for the Deads?

    DEAD GOALS
Still up in the air, rehab going well suspect I'll get my Dead 5RM back to 265 or so.
    In which case 265 / 285 / 305

    PRESS GOALS
    Currently at 71 for 5rm
suspect I could get as high as 120 though for 5rm by then

    SQUAT GOALS
Was at 232, having issues at 205 currently so we'll see.

    GOALS
My goals have little to do with the Fall Classic.
    Lift consistently.
    Avoid injuries.
    Complete LP.
Increase Work Capacity (which has been quite limiting in my progression)
Improved grip strength (so yeah, for deads, but also for real life)
Improved mobility / balance, wandering into those "worried about falling years".
Lose weight, this has been somewhat on hold due to side effects on gains.
Improved blood sugar profile, which is quite good now but wasn't not long ago. (still doing Keto for this reason)
Be able to lift my 90 lb kayak overhead to throw on my van. (see 5rm at 71 for "issues")
Be able to convince family members to do LP. They would be more impressed with weight loss than any number on my dead lift. For now, they can wait.
The Fall Classic is for motivation.

In shot, to become a fully "functional" human being. Without Shoulder problems, knee problems or back problems.
    6'2"
    235
    Dead 405
    Squat 350
    Press 150
    Bench 250

Sick as a dog yesterday after trimming shrubs Saturday. Everything was sore. Ran out of gas very quickly on the 70' of shrubs, 30' of which are shaped. (aka more work, and facing street)

    FARMER WALK
    75#x400' 35 & 2.5 plates... increasing 5lbs a week, hoping for 3 to 4 of these per week.

FYI: This is a crappy farmer walk for someone who can dead 265x5. So would the 120# walk that "failed" be. Houston, we have a problem. (265#x200' would be ok-ish... no immediate danger)
This is my "cheap and easy to transport" prowler work. And it should help my grip strength due to the 1.5" pvc handles.

Probably, I am on the "long road" to this goal. But, I'm on the long road anyway.
Every workout is a step in the right direction... Even the ones with lots of cussing.
