West branch of the DuPage is not on radar. And based on the map, my current Hobie Revolution 13 might be a better choice for the DuPage.
My Revo is good into fairly big lakes, in fact I hit a storm on Lake Powell (AZ/UT border) but is better in tight places, but still a good flat water kayak.
The Hobie Adventure is a true blue water boat. Most people who buy this get it to fish on the ocean.

I tend to use the sail only on bigger lakes. But I may use it next time on the Fox River north of Elgin which is a popular spot.
St Germain Wisconsin, little saint and the Ranbow Flowage are places I take it a lot.

The up gunned Adventure has 3x the sail and instead of inflatable water wings, it is a true trimaran. Where my Kayak can hold 3mph, the Adventure is good for 6mph, or 80% of wind speed up to about 8mph.
They can also be pedaled at 2-3 mph.

Many people fish out of these but I mostly take pictures of eagles. Which I have gotten rather good at finding. The young eagles give away their position in the trees and my boats are quiet enough so that I can hear them.

Happy Birthday and I'm glad for you getting that Kayak and being able to use it. You are the adventurous type.
Have you contacted Karl Schudt about how he lost several pounds without losing strength? He is a good counselor for such matters.

Birthday squats always count for full depth. Just like birthday food has no calories

Slow Ride is good, though I get more energy from Fool for the City.

    Happy 65!!!!!

245x2,3 OK, that was supposed to be five all together, but it turns out breathing at the bottom is like breathing under water.

The magic of typo. 10 lbs of that is wishful thinking... so far.

Wt: 271.4 today which is down 1.0 from yesterday's actual.

    5/20/2019 Monday

    squat
    45x5
    135x5
    225x5,5,0

Third attempt felt crooked out of the rack... re racked twice. Never felt right.
    Maybe just spooked.
Dealing with a lot of work stress.
Too much coverage with half the people, can't take vacation without extraordinary levels of hassle.
... and obscene levels of OT upon return.
Just finished my 4x lap with "Strong Enough". Need the blue book and Sully's book on audio.

Lame of Thrones was a HUGE disappointment. Hell, I'm a better writer than that. What a fail.

Supposed to go to Wisconsin this weekend.
Ordered the ingredients to Rip's "Vesper Martini".
Rips says only have one. But while fishing in Wisconsin, certain allowances are made.

Carson asks a good question. Wish I had a good answer. I'm sure something reasonable could be worked out with Karl. Not so sure I could live up to a reasonable schedule due to "current job".

    Bw: 268.4

Traveled to the "Northwood" of northern Wisconsin... it was great but rain was involved... heavily.

Press (with arc, like shoulder rehab video)
    22x5
    72x5x3

    Squat
45x5x2 Not a thing of beauty... try again tomorrow.

I began my effort to reach a sane weight on 5/1. 30 days in I'm down 0.25 pounds a day. If I can say that at day 200 it will all be good. (that is like November)

Considering a dehydrator. A Nesco Gardenmaster. High protein snacks that are any good have a lot of sugar and chocolate. Good jerky is $30/pound, and hard to find.
Plus, my "dog-share", Mookles will like the high quality treats. We'll see who's favorite now!

I appear to be pretty beat up from the trip still. I'll ramp up as able. Glad I got the shoulder rehab in.
