    12/15/2020 Tuesday +5 days

Press 42x5 104x5x3 +0 3 short of pr for reps
    Squat 45x3 135x1 195x3x3 +5 16 short of pr for reps
    Dead 135x3 225x1 260x3 +5 5 short of pr for reps

The Wim Hof breathing stuff seems to make a difference.
Maybe I should have been on sleep apnea device.
I felt recovered after 2 days, which was very strange.
    the lifts felt easy.
    Grateful for a good session.

    12/19/2020 Saturday + 4 days

    Bench 45x5 115x1 152x5x3 +1
    Squat 45x3 135x1 200x3x3 +5
    Dead 135x3 225x1 265x0 245x0 225x3

265 would have matched my pr for reps.
I felt good, got 4" on both 265 and 245

Figure I'll repeat 260 next session.
Did not feel "unrecovered", quite the opposite.
Using DOH grip. I have big hands so I was hoping to get to 315 DOH.
Might start going up 2 pound at a time after my 260 set.

Thrilled to be back in PR territory.

    12/25/2020 Friday +6

Was at my brother's Christmas Day, so I planned to work out with my Nephew John Cole.

My brother has a bigger / sturdier / better rack, which took a little getting used to.
    It is wider.

Press 45x5 105x0.... surprise, need more warm up when you don't do my normal arc things
Press 65x3 85x3 105x4,0 ok this could use some work
    Squat 95x3 135x3 185x1 205x3x3 +5
Dead 135x3 225x1 260x3 Repeat of two sessions ago after last session fail at 265

Plenty of "recovery food and drink".
    Merry Christmas everyone.

I'm sure working out was fun for both of you. Nice work.

I thought about this John Cole as soon as I read your post about your nephew. This John I remember from back when I was a real lifting newbie in the 1970s. Not the best video but notice his workout schedule in the video that he does 5x5's one workout and 3x5's another and 5x3's in another. He also deadlifts once every two weeks. Sound familiar?

"My" John Cole (17 yo) put up better numbers than me, even though he's coming off a layoff.

    Press 125
    squat 225 (though he's done 330 for a single)
    dead 230

If you've never lifted with a young kid who's heart is in the right place... I recommend it.
It'll restore your faith in mankind.
